Project Me

When we set goals, we look for external signs from life that we are on the right track and if the time frame that we set has passed or we did not receive the signs we asked for, then we give up on those goals and totally forget why we even set them in the first place.

Sadly, the need for change is usually shown to us in the package of frustration, unhappiness, self sabotage, depression, to name a few, which only pushes us further into the chaos and the fear of change. Hopefully, we eventually have no choice but do something, ANYTHING, to get back on track and moving towards our life purpose.

Jodene has taken years to acknowledge her patterns of sabotage and put equal effort into awakening the joys of her life purpose and watched herself blossom into the abundantly fulfilled person she is today. Yet, there have always been the shadows of a stranger who lingers within her personal relationship with self.

As 2009 drew to a close and she anticipated the changes, new ventures and continued frustrations that she carried from one year to the next, she decided to commit herself to “Project Me” for the year of 2010. A year focused on having fun, being happy and conscious, and manifesting the life she knows she is capable of creating. Yet, she knew that it was only possible if she focused less on living each day looking for the signs and trying to achieve goals.

Jodene chose to blog her ‘project’ on a daily basis for the full 365 days because she is aware that we are all strangers to ourselves to some degree or another. She has seen the impact of watching a movie or hearing the story of someone else’s life and know the ways it gave her the opportunity to meet more of herself.

The teacher, friend, mothering energy and nurturing companion in her rose to the occasion and chose to share her journey, in the hope that others would see glimmers of their beautiful selves and create their own ‘project me’ years, that in turn will become the fulfilment and abundance of a happy life overflowing with purpose.

This is Jodene's commitment to her life journey as she deals with fears that prevent life changes. While establishing herself as a South African blogger, she shares her life while dealing with issues as common as weight lossbeing single and living in a beautiful country that is technically challenged.

Project me is an interactive daily blog, tracing Jodene's day’s events as the ebb and flow of life takes her on a journey of emotion, awakening and consciousness in a year that is absolutely goalless, yet totally purposeful.
